THINGS TO DO: The Forbidden Corner

After years and years of saying we were going to visit, Sam, April and I finally made it to The Forbidden Corner.

For those of you that don’t know, The Forbidden Corner is an attraction near Leyburn which is advertised as ‘the strangest place in the world’. I didn’t know much else about it but I was certainly intrigued by what I might find inside. Intrigued and a little scared…

IMG_7694Inside was a veritable cornucopia of the weird and wonderful. The Forbidden Corner is hard to explore and best enjoyed if what you will find is a surprise so I’ll try not to give away too much.

On the simplest (and least spoiler-y) level, The Forbidden Corner is a like a giant maze with hidden tunnels and endless doorways. There are lots of surprises and shocks tucked away. There is something everywhere! Something are a little scary, others are funny but most of them are unexpected.

Since we went in October, there were lots of extra Halloween surprises in store but I’m sure it is just as captivating all year round!IMG_7683

IMG_7693I just can’t quite believe that it has taken me so many years to go and visit The Forbidden Corner. I might need a little bit of time to work up enough bravery to go back again but I would definitely like to see it again. If my nerves can handle it…

My cowardice aside, I really liked visiting The Forbidden Corner and had so much fun exploring it! It was certainly an adventure.
