Since making the move to cruelty free makeup , there are certain brands that I’ve come to love. They’re easy to get hold of, affordable and definitely fit my cruelty free criteria. Making the move to cruelty free can be a little intimidating so having a couple of brands that you can rely on is a godsend.
I thought it might be a nice idea to share some of them with you in a new series called Cruelty Free in Focus. Over the next couple of months, I’ll share my go-to cruelty free brands and favourite products from each of them. If you have any that you love and stock your basket with regularly, please share them with me too! I’m always looking for affordable brands, that are both cruelty free and high quality.
First up is Superdrug, who make up most of my beauty cupboard. Seriously. When I decided to grab a couple of their things to take some photos, I was a little shocked by just how much I have and use everyday. In part, this is because it’s one of the few places where I can reliably get cruelty free products in my tiny Scottish town but also because they are consistently good quality at a very reasonable price. If it is something that you are concerned with, Superdrug own brand are both cruelty free AND vegan. With credentials like that, it’s pretty hard not to love!
I’m forever popping and seeing what’s on offer (much to the detriment of my bank balance) and there’s a couple of products that I’m trying out right now that I might do a full review on soon. It’s my first place to go to for the everyday stuff, so most of my deodorant, body wash and moisturisers are from Superdrug too!
Their vitamin E range is a favourite of my mine and I’ve already spoken about how much I love their superbalm here. The B. makeup wipes are great for when you’re feeling a little too lazy for a full skincare routine. I know they’re not great but sometimes I want to be in my bed as quickly as possible and I figure it is better than going to bed with a full face on.
