Some of you may remember that way back in June I made the decision to try and clear the books that have been on my TBR for a while. I really needed a challenge to try and make some progress on some of the books that I have been neglecting. if you want to read more about my original motivations, here is my first post on this challenge. In short, I decided that by the 31st December 2018, I would have read all of the books in the picture below:
Oh boy that is a lot of books!
That’s 36 books that have been waiting patiently for me for a long time and are well overdue some TLC.
It’s been a little over two months since I made that public pledge so I figured it was about time that I shared how much progress that I made with my original challenge. Are you ready?

The titles in bold are the ones that I have read, meaning that I have managed to read 7 out of 36 of the titles from my TBR challenge. That’s almost 20% of the books that I need to have read by the end of the year. I was worried that I had barely managed to read anything on this list but I do feel a little better now! I mean, I need to pick up the pace if I’m going to complete the challenge but I’m optimistic. If only I managed to stop picking up new books, I might even finish ahead of schedule….

You’re definitely getting there!
I found Forest of a Thousand Lanterns to be a pretty quick read, but I think that’s because I absolutely loved it.
I might do something like this at the beginning of next year, like spring cleaning my TBR but actually reading them haha.
