THINGS TO EAT: Black Bull Inn

DSCN7736

Some of you might remember that I went home last weekend to celebrate my mum’s birthday. As part of those celebrations, we went for dinner at the Black Bull Inn at Moulton and oh my, I’m in love.

With beautiful decor, amazing staff and the kind of food that reduces a table to content silence and smug smiles, I think I’ll be coming back again. Although I didn’t catch their name, I really want to thank our waiter for being so lovely and helpful, even when the restaurant itself was getting a little busy. Nothing was too much and it really made the meal!

But on to the food!

Since it was a special occasion, we ended up going for three courses.

I started with a goats cheese and tomato tart, Nana went for the duck breast and my parents split the seafood platter, which was absolutely beautiful! Luckily, we’re a family with wandering forks so everyone got to try each other’s food too. Just look at how nice it all looked!

For mains, my parents got steaks (which were lush), my nana went for the sea bass and I had one of the best meals of my life with the lamb. I haven’t shut up about it all week. Seriously, just ask my housemates. Brilliantly flavoured and melting in my mouth, I wished it would never end.

We misjudged how full we were and ordered dessert which, though lovely, left us feeling too full to move from our seats. We went for the creme brulee, while dad made the wise choice of sticking with coffee.

What a lovely meal for my mum’s birthday! Thank you Black Bull Inn!
