With the weather becoming just a smidge nicer recently, I’ve been loving getting out and about for a few more walks in the local area and beyond. You might have seen on Instagram that I went up Catbells recently! It was fun but not as fun as the walk that leads to Caffe Italissimo in Middleton St George…
The coffee here is packed full of flavour and utterly addictive – I even ordered myself an extra one to go so I could enjoy it as I walked home. It is a real treat!
And if that’s not enough of a treat, there are loads of baked goods available. I love the cannoli here and always make sure that I buy at least one. This time, my mum also decided to try the fruit cookie which we spoke very highly of.
The real highlight for me though was the bacon sandwich. Now, this might just be the best bacon sarnie that I have ever had. Ciabatta, rocket, cheese, bacon and balsamic glaze make for the perfect combination. I was honestly day dreaming about this for days afterwards!
Just look at how jam packed it was! It was so flavourful too; I know I will definitely be ordering it again!
This time, we decided to sit outside because we were with the dog but I’d love to come along for lunch properly one day and have a look at all of the Italian stock that’s on offer inside. I’ve always heard people absolutely rave about the pizzas from Caffe Italissimo so I am definitely going to try those too. In fact, there’s plenty on the menu that I would like to try for myself – something tells me I might be making a fair few visits this summer!
