THINGS TO EAT: NYC Bar & Grill, Darlington

Are you ready for a sneaky bonus post? Recently we decided to try the new restaurant in Darlington and enjoyed it so much that I couldn’t wait to share it with you! ┬áIf any of you are local to Darlington, you may have noticed that there is a new addition to the devolepment at Feethams. NYC Bar and Grill opened this month and we eagerly waited until we could try it.

The first thing you notice when you go in is how lovely the decor is inside. It’s bright, airy and packed full of character. If you don’t believe me, have a look for yourself:

We were so keen that we definitely ordered too much food! We started things off with nachos ‘from the pit’. Packed full of brisket and all the usual toppings, they were a treat but really filling. It was a good job we had got them to share, or else we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy our mains, especially since we had also ordered the regular nachos!

DSCN9674When it came to the main courses, most of us went for the burgers. Mum chose the Low n’ Slow Pulled Pork stack which was ginormous. It was seriously tasty but also really rich so I think she struggled to finish it.

Dad went for the more traditional Rodeo burger (bacon and cheesburger) which was lovely. If I went back, I think this is what I would order. It’s just a shame I couldn’t steal more than the one bite.

Since I’m so indecisive, I went for the sliders, which let me try three different burgers. It was great and I really enjoyed them but I was sadly defeated by the dish and couldn’t finish it! It’s a dish packed full of flavour and meat which means that you need a big appetite to demolish it.

DSCN9701In fact, I would say that its a good rule of thumb to come to NYC Bar & Grill hungry and with something other than skinny jeans on! It’s tasty food, but seriously filling and with massive portions.

So if you’re looking for a feast, try it out for yourself!
