THINGS TO EAT: The Moon and Sixpence, Whitby

Salsa

I know that I’ve already shared a post on visiting Whitby, but I couldn’t resist putting together a foodie post too!

We usually go to the old fashioned pie and mash shop when we are in town but during this trip to Whitby, we ended up trying somewhere new. After wandering around for a little while, we stumbled upon The Moon and Sixpence and decided to give it a try. Spoiler: it was a good un and I’ll be heading back as soon as I can.

For lunch, my Nana decided to have the lobster while I tried the Chargrilled Tuna Steak Burger. I’ve never had tuna steak before, but am now a convert!

Tuna Steak BurgerThe food was not only seriously tasty, but fresh too! After a quickfire Q&A with our super-friendly waitress, she told us that all the food is sourced as locally as possible. It’s pretty apparent that the folks at The Moon and Sixpence care about the food on your plate and it really is of a high quality.

It was a pretty great place to try tuna steak for the first time and I even tried some lobster too. It’s still not for me, though my Nana seemed to enjoy it. Luckily, my meal was delicious, and served with a beautiful slaw and salsa combination that went beautifully with my lunch.

It’s a shame that it’s taken me this long to try The Moon and Sixpence but I’m pretty excited to go back and try some more of their menu soon!

Have you ever eaten at The Moon and Sixpence in Whitby?
