February 2018

February. A wonderful month, a month with a whole week off from work. What else can you want? I made the most of it to, with a quick trip down to Bath, some life admin, a trip to the ballet, afternoon tea and, of course, plenty of reading!

It’s also had some stressful stuff to deal with but let’s not dwell on that, shall we?

Instead, let’s have a look at the highlights of the month! This post might be a little shorter this month but I’m trying not to be too restrictive with these monthly reflections so it is what it is.

  • I know I’ve spoken about it a lot but my trip to Bath was amazing. There are so many amazing places here in the UK that make for great little holidays and I’m so glad that I’m finally taking the time to see some of them. I got to see some great bits of British history, spend some time with my mum and explore somewhere new. It was pretty awesome.
  • Speaking of seeing some cool stuff, I’ve spent a lot of time at the theatre and cinema recently. My friend and I seem to have made a bit of a habit of it – I’m not complaining because it has been so much fun. We’ve been to see Coco (utterly fantastic), Downsizing (what happened in that film? I’m so confused), The Shape of Water (magical but so dark) and to the theatre to see Swan Lake (mesmerising – when can I go again?). I really hope we keep up with it!
  • Afternoon Tea at Rockcliffe was so much fun. It added a little luxury to my day, and it was nice to see how much my Nana enjoyed it too.
  • This was the first month that I received a Wildest Dreams Book Box and I am so in love with it! I’m so excited to see what else I’ll be unboxing from them in the upcoming months.  If you’re a word-nerd too and looking for a subscription box, I couldn’t recommend them enough.

What were the best bits of February for you?
