If I’m being perfectly honest, November has been a slog. A slow, stunted crawl to Christmas. If you couldn’t tell from my social media, it’s been a busy old month with plenty of university deadlines and work to keep me occupied. Maybe a little too much…
But we’re nearing the end of semester, so it’s not allterrible. And I managed to sneak in some good moments this month too:
- I finally finished The Final Empire….
- After months of experimenting, I finally cracked my recipe for chilli bean stew….
- And I spent a little time in Newcastle, doing some Christmas shopping and eating all of the food I could find.
See, not all bad at all!
I also launched my Life After Uni mini series, which will include a whole host of guest posts about how people figured out what they wanted to do in terms of finding their career and their feet after uni. Lauren was the first to contribute and I loved her post! I can’t wait to see what other people have to say.
November has been dissertation month over here and it’s slowly but surely taking shape. I’m sure you’re sick of hearing about it (I know my friends and family are) but I’m so close to the end! While it is a slog at the moment since I really, really hate editing and formatting, I still like the writing of Margaret Atwood. I was so worried that I would never want to read anything by her again by the end of this but I’m happy to report that I fully intend to keep reading Atwood.
For now though, I’m really looking forward to the end of this month and being able to enjoy the festive preparations. Of course, I’ll still have some work to do (and an exam to get through) but December means Christmas and I. Cannot. Wait. for that.
How did November treat you?
