Last week, I got the chance to pop along to Label’s Meet the Models event and absolutely loved it! I spoke a little bit about the premise behind Label and why I am behind it 110% in this post so you can imagine how happy I was to see it coming together. It was also held at The Adamson, which is one of my favourite places to go. It was a match made in (a rather Kelly specific) heaven.
My friend Jo is the founder and I am so proud of her. I’ve watched how hard she has worked on this and the passion that she has poured into this fantastic project over the last few months. She was such a calm and social host all night and I was a little jealous – I don’t think I could have pulled this off without a little more stress! She also has amazing taste in shoes and I couldn’t resist a little snap off these beauties!
Coming straight from a tutoring session (and being stupidly worried about being late), I didn’t look nearly as glamorous as Jo. I went for my go-to heeled sandals and a statement necklace to jazz up an everyday combo. But, since this was Label, I felt completely comfortable. After all, my look may not have been glam but it was me. Unfortunately, since this was me, some of the pics ended up being down right ridiculous.
The cocktail was lovely though.
One day, if you’re good, I’ll show you the really bad ones. They’re something special.
We also took advantage of the photowall to take some cute pictures. And no, the matching stripes weren’t deliberate – I promise!
If you want to find out a little bit more about Label and the wonderful work that they are doing, they have a beautiful new website. Check them out at www.labelfashionshow.com or find them on Facebook by searching ‘Label Fashion Show’.
