April has been fantastic and tiring and awesome. I handed in my last pieces of coursework for the term, wrapped up my lectures, and celebrated my 20th birthday. I’m currently taking a couple of days R&R before exam prep starts in May and sorting things out so that I don’t freak out too much when my stress levels rise significantly. Speaking of, I’ve decided to cut posting back to twice a week for May. I know you’ll miss my Saturday posts (and I will to) but I just know that I won’t have time when unversity work gets serious.
Eating: Plenty of birthday cake. I almost said ‘too much cake’ but that’s not really a thing is it?!
Drinking: Prosecco out of teacups. It just tastes so much better (and looks great on Instagram)
Loving: The chance to catch up with old friends. Hildy managed to swing by St Andrews for a night and it may have been the best night ever. I sure do miss that girl and getting to spend time with three of my favourite ladies was the best birthday present I could ask for.
Making: Lots actually! All the decorations for my birthday party were handmade so my housemates and I have been crafting away in our evenings to get everything ready. There’s been plenty of paint and glitter on my clothes recently.
Wearing: Light jackets and no tights; it’s almost as if we’ve entered Spring in Scotland.
Reading: I treated myself to a subscription to Laura’s #askthequestion emails for my birthday and I’m already in love with it. That girl weaves words together like an ancient tapestry. If you haven’t checked her out yet, head to her site now and fall in love with her magical writing abilities.
Watching: This video of Tom from McBusted and his adorable son. How can you be mad at the world when sweet moments like this exist?!
How did April treat you?
