This might be the biggest delay I’ve ever had in reviewing a restaurant! The notes for this have sat in my drafts for almost a month which is a little embarrassing. However, we had such a wonderful meal at The Impeccable Pig that I wanted to share anyway.
Are you ready?
First of all, it’s impossible to review this restaurant without discussing the amazing decor. It truly is a beautiful venue and I’ve been blown away by it both times that I have visited. It just makes a trip there extra special , which was perfect for this visit as we were celebrating my dad’s birthday!
We didn’t get starters this time. Instead, we ordered some pigs and blankets and bread to share. I was very hungry though so they didn’t get photographed -sorry!
When it came to mains, we were spoilt for choice and spent a long time deciding. Eventually, Mum decided to have the fish of the day which was lush and full of flavour.
Dad and I decided to go for the burger, which I have been raving about since my visit before Christmas. It did not disappoint and I still reckon this is one of the best burgers that I have ever had. Big claim, I know, but I stand by it.
Mum and I just about managed to squeeze in a pudding afterwards. I went for the Bakewell tart which was really lovely and the perfect end to the meal. It was a struggle to finish it though!
Mum went for the pineapple upside down cake which I have to admit wasn’t my fave. Luckily, I was busy with my Bakewell tart!
I also can’t fault the service in The Impeccable Pig. On both visits, the staff have been so kind and helpful that it has really made our visits wonderful.
I have a feeling this won’t be my last visit to The Impeccable Pig; take your bets now on how long it will be until that burger makes enough appearance on my Instagram…
